Sandai was born from a love of travel, colour and that feeling of being somewhere else.
We create bags for women who don’t want to dress by a category. They dress for the mood, the place and the moment.

THE PRODUCTS

Our designs sit somewhere between city and beach, everyday and escape — the kind of bags that work with your favourite jeans just as easily as they do with a summer dress and sandy feet.
Each piece is made in small quantities, using carefully selected materials including recycled yarn from the textile industry.
Most pieces are one of a kind. When you find one you love, it might be the only one.
THE STORY
Sandai started with a bag I couldn’t find.
I wanted something effortless for beach days — a little dreamy, a little unexpected. Something that could take me from sandy beaches to sunset dinners.
I couldn’t find it. So I made it.
The idea for Sandai was born on a beach in Mexico.
I was dreaming about creating my own beach bags while my son played in the sand, inventing his own word: sandöga, “sand eye” in Swedish.
Somehow, it felt like the perfect name.
Today, Sandai is based in Sweden, inspired by a life between city streets, sunny escapes and sandy feet.
